The second annual Path to Literacy Event was held at the Scotland Campus on September 23, 2017. This year’s theme was Scavenger Hunt! and was held in conjunction with Coyle Free Library’s Storytelling Event. Visitors enjoyed a fantastic BBQ lunch provided by Holy Smokes BBQ, a fun afternoon including our scavenger hunt, and musical entertainment provided by local bluegrass band The The Good Roads Jubilee. The highlight of the event were the featured storytellers: Kim Weitcamp, Tim Lowry, and Fanny Crawford.
We appreciate sponsorship by Patriot Federal Credit Union, 1st Ed Credit Union, and Strickler Insurance. We also thank Sheetz and Giant Food Stores for their generous prize donations.
The FCLC would also like to recognize and thank Denice Bigham of the Franklin County Library System who coordinated and organized this event, as well as the many Coyle Library and FCLC family members who made it all possible.
