Follow the Path to Literacy and help others to do the same!

The Franklin County Literacy Council IU12 and the Coyle Free Library are joining forces to promote literacy.

On Saturday, August 27, The Franklin County Literacy Council will hold a Family Literacy Walk to support the Path to Literacy from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 am to kick-off the Coyle Free Library’s annual Storytelling Event from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. .

 The Walk starts at Chambers Fort Park. THERE IS NO CHARGE TO WALK, but children must have an adult with them to participate. Participants in the Walk are encouraged to dress as a favorite storybook character (or come as you are).

Prizes will be awarded for best costume in various age groups:

Ages 0-5, ages 6 -10, ages 11-teen, best Family costumes, and best Adult costume.

Door prizes will also be awarded.

 Walk Schedule:

8:45-9:15     Registration at the start

9:15 –9:20   Introductions

9:20- 9:45    Character Walk to Support Literacy

9:45-10:00   Prize awards and drawing
